Eu já tive a curiosidade de saber como "é a vida" no Daytona International Speedway nos períodos em que não há corrida e achei bem interessante o que vi no site do autódromo. A pista possui 3 tipos de tours que com duração e preços diferentes. Você terá acesso as garagem das equipes, Victory Lane, infield, a pista em si (no tram). Cada tour possui as suas características. All Access Tour
Venture behind-the-scenes and discover what makes Daytona International Speedway the World Center of Racing. On the approximately 90-minute All Access Tour you can explore areas such as the Drivers Meeting Room, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Garages, Gatorade Victory Lane, and go inside the Houston Lawing Press Box seven stories above the Speedway.
Adult: $22
Child (ages 6-12): $17
Children 5 and under FREE
Hours: Operates daily from 10:00am - 3:00pm every hour on the hour. Daily tickets are sold beginning at 9:00am at the DIS Ticket Office; no advance date sales are offered. Each tour capacity is limited and seating is on a first-come, first served basis.
Speedway Tour
On the approximately 30 minute Speedway tour you can take a stroll through the infield, witness the high banks and pass through NASCAR Nationwide Series garages as you learn about the history of Daytona International Speedway. Travel along Pit Road and discover how NASCAR's top drivers prepare for the largest motorsports event of the year.
Adult: $15
Child (ages 6-12): $10
Children 5 and under FREE
Hours: Runs daily at 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, and 4:00pm. Daily tickets are sold beginning at 9:00am at the DIS Ticket Office; no advance sales are offered. Each tour capacity is limited and seating is on a first-come, first served basis.

Tours on Tuesdays & Thursdays begin at 1 pm and conclude at approximately 4 pm.

Each VIP Tour guest will receive a personalized VIP tour credential, VIP tour lanyard and credential holder.

Há dois ENORMES estacionamentos no autódromo. Um na parte da frente da pista e outro na reta oposta. Caso você não encontre lugar para estacionar, o que é praticamente impossível já que dia 14 é um dia "normal", há os estacionamentos do Target na frente da pista e de outras lojas também. Ali é só atravessar a rua e ir para o autódromo. De qualquer forma, pode ficar tranquilo que vaga no autódromo você encontrará.
Eu nunca fui à praia em Daytona. Minhas idas à cidade resumiram-se apenas ao autódromo. Tinha vontade de ir, mas o tempo não permitia. Não sei se há estacionamento na praia, mas pelo o que li há um tipo de calçadão para se caminhar. Nas semanas pré-corrida há vários eventos na cidade a beira-mar.
Ah, sim ! Outra coisa que você tem ver na pista é o Daytona Experience.
Coloquei no post as fotos da minha visita lá. Valeu a pena "andar" no simulador que eles tem e ver os carros antigos e novos expostos lá. Além, é claro, do museu da pista.
