The Danish Government has announced that as of 12pm today (Saturday 14th March 2020), the borders to Denmark will be closed, in an attempt to control the spread of the coronavirus. Danish citizens will be allowed to re-enter the country but visitors from other countries will be refused entry.
These extraordinary measures will be in place until at least Monday 13th April.
According to the statement released from the government, people wishing to visit family members in Denmark will also be denied entry, unless they are visiting a relative who is critically ill. We’re following the news as it happens and the most up to date information on the current situation can be found here: https://bit.ly/39N4DpO
Foreign nationals should be advised against all travel to Denmark as a result, and those with plans that include visiting Denmark from now until 13 April should seek alternative arrangements or cancel their trips. Those with trips planned after 13 April should keep up to date on the current news, which is changing at a rapid pace, to be sure they have the most up to date information. Thank you to everyone who is helping to limit the spread of COVID-19 and for your understanding about this decision. We look forward to welcoming you and your clients back as soon as we’re allowed to.
